90 minutes of instruction (1.50 CLE credits)
Zoom Webinar
Program Description
Noncitizens with removal orders face significant barriers to establishing eligibility for immigration benefits for which they might otherwise be eligible. Assessing what removal-based bars apply and how to overcome them is a complex but necessary part of effective representation of these individuals. Questions on this topic are plentiful over listservs signaling not only the prevalence of this issue, but the confusion that arises. During this webinar, the presenters will break down the removal-based bars and offer strategies for overcoming them. The webinar will also include a discussion about adjustment of status for Temporary Protected Status recipients who have traveled with government authorization after receiving a removal order.
