Program Description

Visa revocations have been in the public eye recently as the Trump administration moved to revoke international student visas of students who exercised their freedom of speech. Although the government has reversed course after suffering major losses in federal courts across the United States, it is important for immigration practitioners to know the proper process for visa revocations. It is also important for immigration practitioners to understand the proper process for rescission of lawful permanent resident status. The faculty will discuss the law, regulations, and processes regarding visa revocations and rescission of lawful permanent resident status. The faculty will also discuss potential arguments against both visa revocations and rescission of lawful permanent resident status.
