Understanding the CARECEN v. Jaddou Settlement Agreement Benefitting Certain Temporary Protected Status Beneficiaries with Prior Removal Orders

Thursday, April 7th at 9:00 AM Pacific / 12:00 PM Eastern

Zoom Webinar

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes  Admission: Free   CLE Credit: None

CARECEN v. Jaddou challenged a December 2019 USCIS policy that disclaimed USCIS jurisdiction over applications for adjustment of status filed by certain TPS beneficiaries who had traveled on advance parole after receiving a removal order. The recently filed CARECEN v. Jaddou Settlement Agreement creates a new prosecutorial discretion policy under which ICE OPLA will generally agree to join motions to reopen and dismiss the removal proceedings of certain TPS beneficiaries with prior removal orders who traveled on advance parole and are otherwise prima facie eligible to file an adjustment application with USCIS. During this free webinar, the presenters will review the terms of this Settlement Agreement and describe how and until when impacted noncitizens can take advantage of its terms. If you represent clients or plan to represent noncitizens who have TPS, you do not want to miss this webinar!
